Eight are permanent pickleball courts open 24/7; the other seven are multi-purpose, open 8 a.m.–3 p.m. daily. Six of the fifteen have lights for night play. Drop-in and free — when courts are full, stack two or four paddles by the net and rotate in.

Mitchell Park is home base for the Palo Alto Pickleball Club, a 750-member nonprofit that organizes regular play and events.
The paddle-stack rotation is the local etiquette — place your paddles at the net in the order you arrived.
Because nearly all Peninsula demand funnels into one park, expect it busy most evenings and weekend mornings.
