How ranking works
Courts are ordered by favorite votes, with ties broken by community rating. Every vote is one per court per device — no accounts, no bots stacking a board. No court can pay to rank higher; there's nothing to buy. Courts with no votes yet sit below the board under "tied at zero" until someone lifts one out.
Badges, and how this differs from Top pick
A court's overall rating is the average of its scores across those six factors, and a court needs a handful of votes on each before it can earn a Top rated badge — so one enthusiastic vote can't tag a court on day one. This is community voting, and it's separate from the editorial Top pick on each city page: that's our own starting-point recommendation (rated on surface, level and wait), never a paid placement and never driven by these votes — though a city's Top pick shifts to the highest community-rated court once enough people weigh in.
