Los Gatos
Four confirmed venues, and only one is free: the town's public courts at La Rinconada Park, a private multi-sport club, a JCC with punchcard access, and a middle school gym reserved for recreation-department club members. You may see a fifth location and a citywide total of 23 courts quoted elsewhere, but that extra venue doesn't check out — treat the higher total as possibly stale.
Where to play
Bay Club Courtside
Mixed levelsEight dedicated outdoor courts with permanent lines and nets at this private multi-sport club, just north of Netflix's Los Gatos campus. Access requires a Bay Club membership; the club doesn't publish separate pickleball guest-pass or drop-in pricing online, so call ahead if you're not already a member. General club hours run Mon–Fri 5:30am–10pm and Sat–Sun 6am–9pm, though pickleball-specific programmed hours aren't published separately. Amenities include lights, locker rooms, food, and on-site lessons.
Addison-Penzak JCC
Beginner-friendlyThis venue has six lighted outdoor courts with permanent lines and portable nets — you'll still find older listings showing only four, but the count grew as the JCC expanded from just two courts when it opened in 2015. Non-members can buy a 10-visit punchcard for $100, valid six months; clinics run $25–30 and workshops $150–180. Scheduled open play is Tue 8–10am, Thu 4–6pm, Sat 4:30–6:30pm, and Sun 9am–12pm; general facility hours are Mon–Fri 6am–9pm and Sat–Sun 7am–7pm.
La Rinconada Park
Mixed levelsFour courts striped onto a single former tennis court in 2018 — the only town-owned, free pickleball courts in Los Gatos, walk-up with no reservations. Bring your own net; there are no lights. This has also been the site of a multi-year noise dispute between players and neighboring residents, including 2025 vandalism (two courts were deliberately oiled) that prompted a $90,000 Town renovation — resurfacing, sound barriers, security cameras, and a time-sensitive locking gate — completed in December 2025. Posted park hours are officially sunrise to one hour after sunset, though you may currently see an 8am opening listed, plausibly tied to the new gate.
Raymond J. Fisher Middle School
Mixed levelsThree indoor wood-gym courts, BYO net on permanent lines. You may see a listing claiming three additional outdoor courts at this address, but that doesn't hold up and likely conflates separate school courts, so we count just the three indoor courts. The fee structure is genuinely unresolved: access runs through a $100/year Adult Pickleball Club membership with the Los Gatos-Saratoga Recreation Department, and weekend Open Play (Sat/Sun 9am–3pm) is restricted to members — it's unclear whether a true stand-alone drop-in option exists.
- La Rinconada Park is the only free, town-owned pickleball venue in Los Gatos — the other three all require a club membership, JCC punchcard, or recreation-department fee.
- You may see Los Gatos credited with 5 locations and 23 courts citywide; only 4 venues (21 courts) check out for this page, so treat the higher total as possibly stale.
- La Rinconada's courts underwent a $90,000 Town-funded renovation — resurfacing, sound barriers, cameras, a new locking gate — that ran October–December 2025 after a multi-year noise dispute with neighbors.
- El Quito Park and Redwood Middle School sometimes get grouped into Los Gatos pickleball listings but are actually in neighboring Saratoga, not Los Gatos, so they're not included here.
